Health & Social Care Pre-NVQ

This course is designed as a preparation for working in the Care/Nursing environment. The candidate will be introduced to the principle practice, and will study aspects including health & safety, System of the body, Nutrition, Health & Hygiene, manual handling and communication.

This course is a two weeks course which consist of a balance of 10 hours theory learning and one week work experience practical training.

Pre-NVQ is designed to provide a basis for progression onto NVQ in Health & Social Care level II. The Pre-NVQ is accredited through the Open College Network and the candidate, on completion, receives a certificate and is entitled to be employed as a Care Assistant or Auxiliary Nurse.
